At Saint Therese, our Faith Formation program ranges from Pre-K to high school. Shepherding our children in the Catholic faith is a shared responsibility with parents, teachers, and the entire parish. Families play a crucial role in this journey, and we can’t wait to be a part of your family’s continued path towards a life with Christ.

*Please contact office if you are a new parishioner and have children/teens who still need baptism/first communion/& or confirmation, we are happy to asist you on which direction to take. For the 2025-2026 school year, we have a class specifically for older teens who still need their Sacraments of Initiation.

  • Students in this age group will explore:

    - How to bless themselves with the Sign of the Cross

    - Engage in fun activities like watching a prayer video, listening to stories about the season or the Mass readings of the day, making crafts, playing games, and having FUN!

-Explore who Jesus is, who Mary is, and most importantly that Jesus loves them SO much.

    -What religion they are.

Prayers: Sign of the Cross/ Our Father/Hail Mary

  • First Reconciliation/ First Communion

Students in this age group will be prepared to make their first confession and receive Jesus Christ in the most Holy Eucharist.

Our Parish uses Dynamic Catholic’s Blessed program.

Prayers: Act of Contrition/Our Father/Hail Mary

  • Children in this age group will explore more Indepth Catholic concepts:

    -What are the seven Sacraments?

    -What is scripture?

-Why did Jesus come to earth?

    -What are the Beatitudes?

-What are the seasons of the Liturgical Year?

Prayers: The Rosary/ Stations of the Cross/ The Mass

  • Through the work of the Office of Faith Formation at the Archdiocese of Hartford, there will be a new initiative in catechizing our youth. As part of the new initiative, the age of Confirmation will be lowered to spring of 8th grade. This will be a gradual process between 2025-2028.

Therefore, students in this age group will begin preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

    Confirmation Preparation

  • Our Parish will continue preparing 9th and 10th graders for the Sacrament between 2025-2028.

    Overall, students will learn:

    -Why be Catholic?

    -Who is the Holy Spirit?

    -Why do we suffer?

    -Virtuous living

    -The Saints

    -The healing power of confession
